Questions?
Q: What if I still haven't been able to decide on a topic?
A: Since we are about half way through the project, it would be best for you to see if one of your classmates needs a hand with their project. You could possibly be a camera man for someone. If you can not find anyone that needs a hand, let Mrs. Colbert know and she can find a job for you.
Q: Can I work on this project at home?
A: Yes, BUT this project was intended to be an at-school project. If you do all of the work at home, you won't have anything to do during our Genius Hour time at school. Try to pace yourself and plan things out so that you can work on as much of the project at school as possible.
Q: I took a video at home. How can I get it to school?
A: The best option is with Google Drive. You all have your own Google accounts. Click on the following link to see how: Uploading Files to Google Drive
Q: I'm running out of time. What do I do?!
A: If you are running out of time, do not stress! The main thing goal of this project is a final product of some sort AND for you to share your new skill with your classmates. If you do not have time to create your how-to book or video, it's okay as long as your can explain how you created your final product during your presentation.

Use your digital resources! I've created this Playlist on Youtube of a few How-To videos. They will give you a feel for how a How-To video should be made. You may even learn something by watching them too!

Planners & Journals
These are the sheets that students will be using to guide their planning and to document their progress along the way.
Students will fill out the Genius Hour Planner during Week 1 of the project.
Once they start their research, they will write a reflection in their Genius Hour Journal every day that we work on the project.
